CSCC 2007 (Circuits 2007, Systems
2007, Communications 2007, Computers
2007)
The annual convention and gathering of all
the WSEAS entities (Working Groups, Technical Committees, Editors,
Associate Editors, Research Directors, Projects Coordinators, etc…) is held in
July during the CSCC.
In 2006, this official meeting
attracted 1300 people (Click here to see a full report: http://www.worldses.org/reports/10th
)
For the 2007, the Society members is going to be gathered in
the 11th CSCC celebrating simultaneously the 11th anniversary from the establishment of the
Society (15-July-1996!)
The CSCC is composed by the
following parallel conferences. Click on the links of these conferences below to

CRETE
Crete is the
island of surprises and contrasts. High mountains and deep gorges,
archaeological sites alongside traditional villages where life continues in a
relaxed and friendly way, clear blue seas bordered by golden sandy beaches.
Here, in the crossroad of the three ancient Continents, Zeus, the king of Greek
gods, was born. Crete, in the minoan era, gave birth to the first civilization
in the west-european sense (anthropocentric, in contradistinction of the eastern
theocratic civilizations) and also, here, the Apostle Paul was shipwrecked off
in what is today known as Kali Limenes (="Good Ports").
The geographical position of Crete attracted the attention of many
conquerors, like Romans, Arabs, Crusaders, Venetians, Ottomans and Nazis, and
the epic defense of the island against the terrific Ottoman Empire for 25 years
as well as the the legendary defense during the second world war, May 1941
(known today as the "Battle of Crete") are admirable samples of the indomitable
Cretan soul!
Many famous artists and politicians like El-Greco, Venizelos (the
father of modern Greece), Kazantzakis (great philosopher and litterateur),
Kornaros (the Homer of Modern Greece) and Elytis (Nobel in Literature, 1979)
were also born in Crete.

HISTORY
The
conference offers to the Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Applied
Mathematics Community a great forum for presenting recent research results,
participating in discussions for several research projects and establishing new
academic collaborations and linking university with the industry. It was held in
1996 and 1998 in Piraeus (Greece); in 1999 in Athens (Greece); in 2000 in
Vouliagmeni, Athens, Greece; in 2001 and 2002 in Rethymno, Greece; in 2003 in
Corfu, Greece; in 2004, 2005, 2006 in Vouliagmeni, Athens, Greece. See other
similar conferences on Systems Theory, Circuits, Electronics, Communications and
Computer Science:
Students Competition:
WSEAS will give out prizes for the winners of the students competition. The
evaluation will be based on the recommendation of the Chairmen of each Session.
